Description: Tramadol Hydrochloride is an alkaloid with powerful pain. This medicine is used for the relief of moderate to severe Pain. The main ingredients of Tramadol Hydrochloride Injection is Tramadol and its chemical name is 2-[(Dimethylamino)methyl]-1-(3-methoxyphenyl) cyclohexanol. This product is colorless transparent liquid.


Pharmacological effects: It has two different mechanisms. First, it binds to the μ-opioid receptor. Second, it inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine.tramadol's analgesic effects are also partially reversed by α2 adrenergic receptor antagonists like yohimbine and the 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, ondansetron. Pharmacologically, tramadol is similar to levorphanol and tapentadol in that it not only binds to the mu opioid receptor, but also inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine due to its action on the noradrenergic and serotonergic systems, such as its "atypical" opioid activity.

Pharmacokinetics: Its analgesic effects take about one hour to come into effect and 2–4 hours to peak after oral administration with an immediate-release formulation. For pain moderate in severity its effectiveness is equivalent to that of morphine; for severe pain it is less effective than morphine. These painkilling effects peak at about 3 hours, post-oral administration and last for approximately 6 hours.

Indications: This medicine is used for the relief of moderate to severe Pain.

Precautions: You should not be given Tramadol Hydrochloride Injection if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Tramadol Hydrochloride or any of the ingredients of this medicine .suffer from alcoholism or you have drunk alcohol recently,have taken or been given, drugs to help you sleep, have taken or been given, strong painkillers e.g. morphine or pethidine ,are taking or have recently taken any drugs used to treat depression known as Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors ,are pregnant or breast-feeding .suffer from a blood disorder known as porphyria Take special care with Tramadol Hydrochloride Injection Tell your doctor if you are dependent on drugs, think you may be in shock as there is a risk of coma,are suffering from severe headaches or have suffered a head injury, suffer or have suffered from kidney, suffer from a convulsive disorder (fits) such as epilepsy ,are having surgery under a general anaesthetic, suffer from asthma, shallow breathing or other breathing difficulties,have cough that is producing a lot of mucus.

Adverse reaction: Side effects that may occur include:,feeling sick (nausea),being sick (vomiting), constipation ,shallow breathing  difficulty breathing,wheezing, or worsening of asthma,feeling very tired, drowsy or sleepy,dizziness,hallucinations, confusion, dry mouth, loss of appetite, muscle weakness.
